office in a closet
I decided to go with the brilliant idea of having my home office space in a closet. I will utilize two thirds of the closet space I have in the living room. By the way, there isn’t a power outlet in that closet. Improvising required - because I am so not contracting an electrician to work his magic!
I began by knocking out both top shelves, the wall dividing the space and the rod that went straight across. I made sure to wear my construction gloves and some goggles… you would have loved the look. Anyhow, As you can see from the previous pictures the painter I hired added two heavy coats of compound. He did a coat of primer and one coat of Benjamin Moore Flat White paint. In a slightly drunken state last night I added another coat of the flat white. That was fun! The floor is full of paint now.. oops
Now comes the fun part, installing a shelving system.. The container store has great options. However, I have to stay within budget and as lovely as Elfa is - it is a bit out of my price range. So, it’s on to Home Depot, again.
Luckily, for me… I have a great little bro that is doing the work for me. I will post a video of the process… so much fun!
